The Bay Area Women's and Children's
Center
The Bay Area Women's and Children's Center,
located in the heart of San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. provides
direct services and advocacy for more than 600 low-income women, children,
and families every month. BAWCC has a free Clothes Closet for women and children,
employment-related services, an After-School Arts Program for Tenderloin children,
a Parent/Child Playgroup, and sponsors the Tenderloin Scholarship Fund. Through
their Advocacy Program, BAWCC works on issues related to low-income children
and families, including conceptualizing and sponsoring the Civic Center Playground
and the Tenderloin Gradceschool Campaigns.
